3-D PRINTING:

We started a 3D Printing initiative on our campus to bring an additional level of learning for the students. With 3D technology, the students are able to design objects on 3D software, such as Tinkercad, and transform them into the physical world with the 3D Printer on our campus.

Here are a few examples of 3D projects that can be done in the classroom with students:

  •  Able to recreate and/or re-design history artifacts to examine
  • Able to print out topography, demographic, or landforms for geography
  • Able to design cells, organs, and other biological objects for science
  • Able to design and print out math manipulatives

Students benefits for integrating 3D in education:

  • Excitement and engagement for the student
  • Compliments the rigorous curriculum
  • Reinforces the design process
  • Creates new possibilities of learning
  • Promotes problem solving skills
  • Compliments STREAM concepts
