The Annual Crowning of Mary was held on Friday, May 7

First graders, Aubrey Ybarra and Tyler Parkoff, held the crown of flowers while all of the SHS students and staff placed a beautiful array of flowers in vases at her feet and sang songs of Mary. Then Aubrey stepped up on the stool and Tyler raised the pillow which held the crown so that Aubrey could take it and adorn Our Lady. It was a lovely day at Sacred Heart School, and all could feel the love of our Mother Mary as her children gathered around her image. Fr. Ray Yrlas, pastor of Sacred Heart Church and School, reminded all gathered of her love for all children and adults before the students parted to go to their classrooms. Throughout the day students and teachers paused to admire the beautiful flowers they had given to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
