Annual Blessing of the Animals on Wednesday, October 4

Each year families are asked to bring their pets to school in the morning for the 8:00am blessing. Teaching our students to love all forms of life is important to us, and St. Francis cared for all life and showed it in his care of animals.

Pets brought to SHS that morning must be under the control of an adult either on a leash, in a carrier, or in their arms as we want to make sure all animals and children are safe. We look forward to seeing a vast array of critters on this day. After the blessing is over, parents then take their animals away.
