Meet Mrs. Zapalac
While I'm not a native of Rockport I have lived here for the last 25 years and consider it my home. I grew up in Corpus Christi and graduated from Texas A&M in 1989. WHOOP! I have a Bachelors degree in Education with a Reading Specialization and an Early Childhood endorsement. This is my 35th year in education. The first 29 years were in public education and the last 6 at Sacred Heart School. I am married with two wonderful, grown daughters who are both SHS alumni. My husband is also a retired teacher/coach who now spends his mornings working at HEB.
I use Class Dojo and find that it is a great way to communicate with families. Homework folders are sent home Monday-Thursday. I do not send them home on Friday as there is never homework over the weekend.
